Great concert! I had already seen GnR at the Felt Forum at Madison Square Garden, which only held a few thousand people. I only went to that first show bc my girlfriend at the time dragged me. I wasn't at all familiar with their music at that point and thought they were just going to be another mediocre hair band. I was absolutely blown away. I was very excited at the chance to see them at a huge stadium so soon after doing a small theater. I of course knew and liked Aerosmith's music, but I was mostly there to see Deep Purple (and GnR.) Can't wait to see Purple (with Yes opening) again all these years later at Bethel Woods in September. So psyched!
