Brooks & Dunn are a country singer-songwriter duo, the most successful in the history of the musical genre. Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn debuted as Brooks & Dunn in 1991. Known as providing one the defining sounds of modern country, they have since won the Vocal Duo Award of the Country Music Association every year between 1992 and 2005, with the exception of 2000 in which southern rock duo Montgomery Gentry took the honor. Other notable awards include the CMA Album of the Year award for 1994 and the Entertainer of the Year for 1996.

Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn are the vocalists and songwriters of the country music duo “Brooks & Dunn.” Both had successful solo careers throughout the 1980s before founding the duo in 1990. In 1991, they released their debut album together, Brand New Man, which has since been certified 6x platinum.
Kix Brooks was born on May 12, 1955, and is now 69 years old. Ronnie Dunn was born on June 1, 1953, and is now 71.
In 2010, after 20 years performing together, Brooks & Dunn disbanded. Originally, it was rumored that a feud led to the break up, but Dunn clarified that both felt they needed a break because they’d been working together for 20 years.
