Scheer's 1994 Concert History

Hailing from County Derry, Ireland, alt-rockers Scheer comprised Audrey Gallagher (vocals), Neal Calderwood (lead guitar), Paddy Leyden (rhythm guitar), Peter Fleming (bass) and Joe Bates (drums). Formed in the early '90s, they issued their first two singles on Dublin label Son, before signing to 4AD and releasing the Schism EP in October 1995. Audrey’s vocals provided a striking counterpoint to her bandmates metallic wall-of-sound, Select magazine describing her as "a cross between Shirley Manson, Björk and some evil spirits".
