Danielle van Gastel Wunderhorse: 4.25 stars out of 5 WUNDERFUL-A MUSTSEE! Wunderhorse presented 7 songs as support of the Pixies.so well chosen!! The short setlist was of great quality from poppy, butterflies,Arizona,Teal, leader of the pack, girl behind the glass and epilogue. The sound was not great and the stage too big as the audience was not really Listening yet and waiting for pixies or their beers.it felt a bit like a reunion and pub where people were having conversations. But in front of the stage there was a fanbase that seemed to have traveled to the Hague for not only pixies. The songs were received enthusiastic and some small sing a longs. All the songs are like poetry with great twists in instruments and melodies. Also surprisingly good voice live! Can't wait to see another show if Wunderhorse.i absolutely recommend this band as ones to watch and explore live. Pixies / Wunderhorse Apr 21, 2025
Danielle van Gastel Paceshifters: 5 stars out of 5 MIND BLOWN There are live bands and the Paceshifters live. At the moment one of Dutch best live bands if you like rock, garage rock, blues, punk, mind blowing drum rhythms and absolutely stunning voices. So complete with 3 musicians. They make all their songs sound like they are with 5. And always interaction, dedication and fun on stage. Often compared to Nirvana and I completely understand that. Paceshifters Apr 21, 2025

Danielle van Gastel Sam Fender: 4.25 stars out of 5 READY FOR THE BIG! Seen Sam Fender 8 times in small venues, from solo gigs to 4p (San, Dean, drew and Tom) and later a 5p band (as Joe stayed after standing in for Dean) . I must say the Afas was a perfect venue. With the trumpets, sax added live, the brilliant visuals and the experience of playing all these small venues the band has become so mature, presenting and live 'wise'. The setlist was of great variety, from ballads, to funk and soul, singalongs and even some alternative rock. Personally I missed all is on my side (absolute fan favorite of last years smaller gigs) but very happy that play god was still on the setlist. And heads up to the crowd, a great variety in age, gender absolutely since Sam got more influenced by TWOD and Bruce. Support of Heidi was a good choice.  Danielle van Gastel Foals: 4 stars out of 5 3 X DIFFERENT FOALS Started funky, groovy and a bit too much disco with wake me up, mountain at my gate, in degrees but with excellent visuals and funny quotes. The 2nd half as from Spanish Sahara was very explosive, alternative, rock and everything beyond as like a complete different band and mosh pits all over. Just like I wanted Foals to be live! Heads up for the crowd, the atmosphere and Yannis. Foals / Egyptian Blue / Foxlane Apr 21, 2025
Danielle van Gastel dEUS: 3.5 stars out of 5 AS EXPECTED dEUS, always performing, always connecting to the crowd and always a well balanced variety in the setlist. A very dedicated crowd and singalongs made it an enjoyable evening. Old and gladly also quite some new songs and even the suds and soda classic as an encore. Pleasantly Surprised by the WCS version and Hotellounge, the architect, quatre mains and instant street pleased the crowd and were the favorites. It wasn't my fav dEUS gig from the past 28 years as the voice of Tom wasn't that steady in the 2nd part but the experienced musicians and their talent for never ending musical 'outro' masterpieces made it all so worth well attending. Pretty nice staging and lights. Sound could be better. dEUS / soapstarter Apr 21, 2025
