 In_Chains_Seattle Alice In Chains did not tour with Van Halen at all in 1996. They toured with them August 16, 1991 - first part of January 1992. The date on this photo is wrong - it should be 1991.  Gabriella Weeks Michael J Fox performed at the July 17th show, the 16th had just the band performing a tribute to David Bowie and Chris performing “Jersey Girl” solo (the 16th was the first of two shows at MetLife that they did that year).  David Cavan I'm convinced that the Cincinnati city council was upest about all of the illegal drug use happening before, during and after these rocks concerts, and in turn, they demanded something be done about it (to coliseum security), or else 'heads will roll'. After all, this was basically the same city council that forced Jerry Springer to resign from the council after Jerry's personal check was found at a massage parlor in a vice raid. After resigning, Jerry publicly apologized, accepted the blame and asked for forgiveness, and in turn, was elected as Cincy's youngest mayor. But the city council (mostly Charles Keating) also went after Larry Flint, editor of Hustler magazine, trying to remove his magazine and freedom of speech. So, I'm just saying the city council was used to throwing their weight around whenever it suited them on any issues they had. Otherwise, why would coliseum security suddenly start giving everyone a pat down searching for drugs as they entered the coliseum, unless they were given an ultimatum to do something about the drug use happening at the concerts? It was never much of an issue at any of my previous concerts at Riverfront coliseum, so it makes me wonder why security started the searches (legalities be damned). Afterall, the end result of those pat down searches prevented security from opening more doors because they didn't have the staff available due to the new search procedure being implemented. From a security standpoint, it made sense to have everyone enter through the main entrance because they could control the crowd more effectively which would faclitate the search., but sadly, it also created a bottleneck of humanity (18K+ half frozen fans) trying to get inside the coliseum, most of whom only had a general admission ticket for the concert (not a reserved seat). So yeah, you can blame 'festival seating", and rock music, and drugs, all you want, but SPOILER ALERT: it takes longer than 1 hour and 5 minute to validate the ticket, give back the stub AND give the fan a "patdown" for 18K+ people, and regardless of the type of event they're attending. That's my 2 cents on the subject, after thinking about what really caused the tragedy. Obviously security, but it easily could be a little more complex for the real reasons. Food for thought, anyway.  C E Attended this show with great anticipation, having seen the ensemble here about 2 years ago. We were sadly disappointed. The music was SO LOUD that it was painful. Instead of savoring the distinct sounds of this great 4-some, the volume mushed their voices and instruments into a fuzzy barrage. We ended up moving from our 10th row seats to the back of the hall where the quieter songs were almost bearable. After this assault on our eardrums, I want our money back!  spanishjohnny72 Ho rivisto Teresa Salgueiro quasi venticinque anni dopo l'ultimo concerto dei Madredeus a cui ho assistito (per una coincidenza del destino esattamente nello stesso luogo) e - come scrivevo a una compagna di corso dell'Università di Lisbona - è stato come riaprire uno squarcio di giovinezza. Il pubblico è poco, i fasti dei Madredeus sono lontani e anche il trasporto emotivo non è paragonabile, ma Teresa Salgueiro rimane una cantante straordinaria, ben accompagnata da tre giovani musicisti. In un buon italiano presenta praticamente tutte le canzoni, accompagnandoci in un viaggio nella storia, nella letteratura e nell'anima del Portogallo, con un excursus molto interessante nelle musiche del Centro e del Sud America.  Larry Head I was in 7th grade and this was my first concert. We had just been let out of school for summer vacvation. Hence "Schools Out" was perfect.. Tickets were $3.50 or so.. We went down to floor near the rotating stage during the drum part of Ina gadda davida or however you spell it. I remember it as the last song but I see the setlist has it as the third to last song. Alice Cooper and his crew were wearing silver jump suits and until I saw an album cover the next day nobody could tell me they weren't a bunch of sexy women.  Kevin Olson I attended this private concert presented by Roscor and Panasonic at NAB but do not remember if it was 2004, 2005 or 2006. My best guest is that it was 2005. If anyone has more specific information please edit this archive. Thanks! Davy Jones Jul 18, 2024
