 trey_merrill The coffin act was cool as hell. I was in L.A. on business (mid-20s and by myself). I thought “to hell with sitting by myself in a hotel room on NYE” and (by fluke) recognized his name from somewhere….and knew 1 song. Figured I’d go see a 50’s blues act and was BLOWN THE FK AWAY!!! Sat with a couple who I befriended and it was one of the best NYE’s ever….probably because it was so unexpected. …and to think it all started with a coffin entering the room (that you helped carry).  Becky Lomax Lionart60, I was 17, and I met the boy, who was 18, that I would go on to marry. Believe me, it was Sunday June 10th, 1979. I flew home the next day, Monday, and the guy I met, Jay, hitchhiked back to his home. We stayed in touch, married, had three kids and now have 3 grandkids.
