Fall Out Boy is a pop-punk band formed in Wilmette, Illinois, in 2001 by members Pete Wentz (bass) and Joe Trohman (lead guitar) with Patrick Stump joining as lead vocalist and Andy Hurley becoming permanent drummer in 2003., and Andy Hurley (drummer). The band’s debut album, "Take This to Your Grave" (2003) became an underground success while its sophomore album, “From Under the Cork Tree” (2005) was a breakthrough success, peaking at number nine in the US and in the top 100 in half a dozen other countries.
