Ozzy Osbourne, whose birth name is John Michael Osbourne, is one of the most influential heavy metal musicians in history. The band broke up after two shows with Ozzy and other bandmates joining Polka Tulk Blues which renamed itself to “Earth” and finally “Black Sabbath” in 1969.
He was dismissed from Black Sabbath in 1979 due to his tardiness, heavy drug and alcohol use, and personal conflicts with other band members, which pushed him to begin what would become a successful multi-decade solo career.
