GaryAura I think this was my first Glastonbury - Nice warm weather - and plenty of space - not like the later overcrowded, crammed Glastos - Spent entire festival high on weed - Didn't see all the acts, but most memorable were: Aswad, in orange jumpsuits, on main stage one afternoon playing "Sun Dub" & various other classics. In the evening saw some of Joe Cocker's set. He was entrancing, the way he moves when he sings. I was hypnotised as he sang "I get by with a little help from my friends". Green on Red were also a band I saw, along with flag waving New Model Army and Third World, The Triffids, and a very memorable Billy Bragg - who went down well- But best for me were "Echo & the Bunnyman" - First time I'd seen live, and they did a great set with many of my favourite tunes: The Cutter, A Promise, Killing Moon, Villiers Terrace - Great gig. I did see other bands - One in a side stage was Dr & The Medics, who were very entertaining and successfully put down hecklers in the crowd and won the audience over. Biggest regret was missing Ian Dury; why, I don't know? Glastonbury Festival Mar 08, 2026

GaryAura Apart from remembering I went to this gig with my mates, I don't remember much else, except drinking too many pints of lager and throwing up in what were the most small, cramped and disgusting toilets you've ever seen...!! Marquee on Wardour Street was a small, dark, hot, sweaty venue. Crammed tightly with punks pressing towards the stage, trying to pogo, but squashed together like sardines could only manage a slight up & down movement. A lot of liquids flying through the air too: Lots of beer, some water, and plenty of spit. And being leglessly drunk in that atmosphere was not good. No wonder I not remember much. Between throwing up and trying to stay upright in the crowd took all my attention. Vaguely recall Buzzcocks playing some of their singles: "I Don't Mind", "Orgasm Addict", but all a bit of a blur this one...!! Buzzcocks Mar 08, 2026
