CAPO One thing my friendship with Makala gave me was introducing me to some great, traditional Country and Bluegrass/Mountain music and because of that Patty Loveless remains one of my favorite all time singers. She can send shivers down my spine with her powerful voice. So this was a Makala and me show. Only downer is Patty could only perform 4 songs, but it was worth it to see one of my idols. Oh, Vince Gill was fine and The Del McCoury Band tore the place up with their brief Bluegrass set. Walked out into the cool October air, me and Makala, and enjoyed the State Fair. A wonderful memory.  CAPO Another Makala show, and one which I quite enjoyed. Dolly is one hell of a entertainer and put on a great show. Dolly Parton / The Grascals Jun 28, 2022
CAPO Another Makala must see show. This was the strangest show I ever attended. With Cher and the Village People's crowd as eccentric as you can get. Bored out of my mind really. Cher / Village People Jun 28, 2022
CAPO Another Makala show but one I really loved. George Strait is the coolest man in a Stetson hat. The stage was set up in the middle of the arena so George just strolled from one sid to the other giving everyone a good seat and close look. Wonderful show. George Strait / Dirks Bentley/A.  CAPO My first Dylan show and one of the best shows I ever attended. Drove out to the former Sun Dome, then called the Maricopa Events Center, a packed crowd of about 7,000 folks, including NBA legend Bill Walton, head and shoulders above everyone. First the great Merle Haggard did a too short opening show, always removing his hat to acknowledge the crowds cheers in between songs, class act. Bob delivered a wonderful show, his gruff vocals smoothing out as the night wore on. This was the only show this tour that he played "God Knows" and a sublime "Every Grain Of Sand" and finished up with a thundering "All Along The Watchtower" Bob was very jovial and appreciated the crowds applause. This a great Bootleg of the show called "God Knows Everything" which is worth having if you were there or even if you were not. Bob Dylan / Merle Haggard & The Strangers Jun 28, 2022

CAPO Took my best friend Makala, as I did to all Country shows she wanted to see. Tanya was a pro and very good. Tanya Tucker Jun 28, 2022
CAPO Saw this show two years running. I almost thought I was back in the '60s and was experiencing the real thing, BEATLEMANIA LIVE Jun 28, 2022
CAPO Drove up from Phoenix for show. After a brief monsoon storm, the aired cooled, and Bob played a fantastic show under the Tucson stars, fearturing many new songs from Modern Times. I was on the lawn section kicking back. Great sound for a outdoor theatre. Very laid back vibe. Bob Dylan Jun 28, 2022
CAPO A makeup date for the cancelled Baseball Stadium show in the summer that included Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp but was postponed due to the extreme heat. Only Bob played the makeup show, which was the loudest and rowdyest Dylan show I ever attended due to half the crowd were State Fair goers who wandered in. Marked the return of the great Charlie Sexton on guitar. Overall a solid show. Bob Dylan Jun 28, 2022
awatkins From another site: “As originally booked, the Oakland Cream show was a British rock dream pairing of Cream and Traffic. However, by the time the show rolled around, Traffic was off the bill, presumably because Dave Mason’s second departure ground their tour plans to a halt. By show time, Traffic had been replaced by two acts with less commercial clout, Canadian band the Collectors and rising San Francisco band It’s A Beautiful Day. Both had made a few 2nd and 3rd bill gigs at the Family Dog and Fillmore by that time, but neither was a headliner by any means.“ Cream / Traffic / The Collectors Jun 28, 2022
JRollSoul I think Awatkins post from 9/18/21 is correct that Traffic did not play at this concert (I was just thinking about the fact that I never got to see Traffic, so appreciate this post reinforcing my memory that they were not at this concert) Cream / Traffic / The Collectors Jun 28, 2022

CAPO He seemed bored and the closet he came to pleasing the crowd and playing some Aerosmith was the opener "Train...." He soon after re-joined Aerosmith, maybe why he seemed uninterested. The Joe Perry Project Jun 27, 2022
