Blues-Lover Great show as usual. Love his stories and his music. See him each time he comes to town. Tinsley Ellis Nov 21, 2025
Don Branson This was my first live music concert i ever attended. The lovely SWV tore it up. Bone had a huge skull-themed set and drank on stage. in the hall outside the arena there was an big air-brushed copy of Keith Sweat sitting on a throne (i think from the album cover) you could get your picture taken in front of Keith Sweat / 112 / SWV / Nas / Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Nov 21, 2025
Don Branson with/dar. a long but wonderful evening (5:30-11)! openers/ teen rockers The Linda Lindas proved they belonged with this middle-age 90s collection of bands. Rancid was a constant boot-stomping dance party. they unexpectedly played my fav "Side kick". the smashing pumpkins rocked hard as ever. they had a new bassist chick who looked too badass to hang with billy and co. of course Green Day was a constant blast in music and pyro! there was a short unplanned pause in the show where the band ran off the stage but afterward they came back out and picked up where they left off. at one point there was an plane balloon that floated over the audience. the stages for 'dookie' and 'american idiot' were awesome. they even played the hidden track on 'dookie' that tre cool sung playfully in a bathrobe. it was my first show where a band played 2 full albums. also must mention parking near comerica is now $50-60 american but we avoided it by parking on a side street so there, nyah!  Don Branson w/ Darrius Grenier-Fielder Some much needed fun in Ann Arbor tonight! opener Raffaella was a wonderful surprise and a very good singer whose pop style complemented Charly Bliss' indie pop. Charly Bliss was great as always. i think this is the 4th time we saw them. Their set is just always a party, hardly ever slowing down. Somehow Eva manages to jump nearly the whole time even whilst playing guitar. we were so close too! Their drummer Sam Hendricks did double duty as Raffaella's drummer also.  Don Branson yesterday we went to a NAPOLEON DYAMITE 20th anniversary screening. it was cool seeing it with an audience. people clapped at certain scenes (like napoleon dancing). afterwards 3 stars from the movie came out: Jon Heder (napoleon), Efren Ramírez (Pedro) and Jon Gries (uncle Rico). uncle rico came out playing a guitar as pedro came out on harmonica. then napoleon appeared with a keyboard. the cast went in and out of character as they spoke to the audience. apparently most people have to see the movie 3 times to get it. they used a 'time machine' to go back to 2001 and tell stories from the making of the movie. after being joined by 'tina the llama' they went into the audience to answer questions. napoleon also brought up some kids a couple of times to recreate scenes and do the 'happy hands club' performance. toward the end they had a costume contest and made all the contestants dance. the costumes were great and it was cool to see the kids enjoying the show as well. it was a great show after a show and much more fun and interactive than i was expecting!  Don Branson sunday i went to grosse point to see my cuz Olyvia Maria O'Donnell & her hubby Kyle in "Groundhogs day the musical" with my Brown fam. they were both great! i normally don't dig musicals but i really enjoyed this one. all of the cast were great actors and singers. i was especially impressed with the lead since Bill Murray leaves such very big comedy shoes to fill. he played it just the right amount of sarcastic deadpan. thx again to my Uncle Marty Brown Sr. and aunt Donna for inviting me. it was fun!  Hilliard T. The stage was a setpiece of ship's rigging cast in blue and green lights. The band was on a low note, as John Glascock had recently died and they were touring with a substitute bass player. As if that wasn't bad enough, an announcer came on stage to introduce the band, stating that J.T. had cancelled their last three shows because some idiot had thrown a glass bottle on the stage and a piece of glass had gotten into Ian Anderson's eye. The band took the stage to thunderous applause, and a bespectacled Ian came forward playing a flute intro. Not two minutes into the show, someone threw a bottle onto this stage, and quick as a flash - Ian stopped the show! He pointed out that he was wearing protective goggles, and threatened to leave right away unless somebody pointed out who threw the bottle and had them expelled. Obviously, the person was quicky ushered out and the band was ready to start again, but not before David Palmer gave a proper dressing down to the audience, telling us all we'd better well sit in our seats and listen!  Brucefan24 The Beatles were to have performed at Cincinnati’s Crosley Field on the previous day, Saturday 20 August 1966. However, heavy rain and the risk of electrocution led to their performance being postponed until noon on this day. The support acts on The Beatles’ final tour – The Remains, Bobby Hebb, The Cyrkle, and The Ronettes – had all performed the day before, prior to the downpour beginning. The Beatles were the only act to play on this day, after which they flew 341 miles to St Louis, Missouri to perform an evening concert.  Brucefan24 The concert took place at the Busch Stadium, and was seen by 23,000 people. The support acts were The Del-Rays, The Remains, Bobby Hebb, The Cyrkle and The Ronettes. The show took place in heavy rain, with a makeshift shelter over the stage to protect the musicians, although water still dripped onto the amplifiers. It was this incident which finally convinced Paul McCartney that The Beatles should cease touring. The Beatles / The Remains / Bobby Hebb / The Cyrkle / The Ronettes / The Del-Rays Nov 21, 2025
