Georges A. Gauthier The Guess Who. What can be said? It’s amazing some of them are still alive and playing. Playing well no less. It was fun to see (barely) living legends perform from their incredible hit list. The addition of a couple BTO songs was the cherry on the Canadian classic-rock Sunday. Ottawa Bluesfest Jul 20, 2026
Georges A. Gauthier The Sheepdogs They are a good band. They play well and they easily refute your uncles notion that no one plays “real” rock anymore. I do feel that they lean too heavily on the past. I don’t mind derivative music (maybe all music is) but this goes beyond influence. They mimic the past. Wearing costumes (Neil Young, Zappa, etc) Like a Vegas stage show. It goes beyond genre and homage into affect and parody until they commit the worst crime: a lack of any originality. Ottawa Bluesfest Jul 20, 2026
Georges A. Gauthier Elisapie What a tremendous pleasure and privilege to watch and listen to such talent. She owned her covers and blew us away with her originals. Her band was immaculate and so were the sound and lights. Elisapie’s vibrancy and optimism were just as breathtaking as her voice. Ottawa Bluesfest Jul 20, 2026

Ed Pleasant Former members of Electric Light Orchestra (performing as "The Orchestra," which featured ELO Part II alumni including Kelly Groucutt, Mik Kaminski, and Eric Troyer) played in the Baltimore/Towson area on June 1, 2002. The concert took place at the Recher Theatre in Towson, Maryland. It was a rather small venue, only about 700 in attendance, and Kelly Groucutt stuck around afterwards to mingle with the crowd; I actually got Kelly’s autograph!
