Stephen Vander Meulen Correct. Killer dwarfs opened Ace Frehley / Iron Maiden Aug 03, 2025
Tim 81 One for the ages. Show was announced at late notice and very surprisingly considering the previous night at festival hall was undersold. Josh Homme was hanging out on the balcony watching the distillers set and had to venture through the thick crowd down the stairs and past the pit to the backstage door ahead of QOTSA’s set. He’s way too tall to go unnoticed in the crowd at his own show 🤣. Opened with Regular John and played a marathon set covering almost everything from songs for the deaf and huge chunks of the first two records. Lanegan stole the show as he did every time I saw them tour this album. Noticeable tension between Josh & Nick on stage toward the end if the set… Nick didn’t come in for his stripped down bass lick toward the end of no one knows and instead looked at josh with a cheeky grin. Josh gave a look of disgust and came in with the lick on his guitar instead. Nick played a solo gig at the Cherry bar straight afterwards where he opened with an acoustic version of six-shooter and wad accompanied by Mark Lanegan for several tracks including a Spanish rendition of Gonna leave you. Troy and Joey were both there too but Josh was nowhere in sight… Some very telling signs regarding what was about to go down the following week. Queens of the Stone Age Aug 03, 2025
Tockershow Donna & I, Steve Howard and Sue (SRH's gf at the time) Fleetwood Mac / Kansas / Headeast / REO Speedwagon / henry gross Aug 03, 2025
Tockershow obstructed view - our seats were behind the stage - a bummer in some ways but we got to see Keith Moon from behind play that show and he was passing out on stage and hospitalized...but we saw a great performance in OKC! The Who Aug 03, 2025
Daideo Mick Ralphs 2nd guitar in David's band. David Gilmour Aug 03, 2025
Tim 81 Festival hall doesn’t sound great for many bands but it suited QOTSA’s dark rumbly sound perfectly. Show was massively undersold, potentially because the floor area was all ages and unlicensed. Upper section of the seated area was curtained off and the floor wasn’t jam packed. The Distillers / Queens of the Stone Age Aug 03, 2025
Tim 81 Abe had to skip a song late in the set to take a shit and they had someone fill in for him. Chino joked that Abe was constantly needing to shit and their new album was going to be called “a thousand shats” 🤣🤣🤣 Deftones Aug 03, 2025
Tim 81 Loooooooud fucking show! Don’t remember the exact setlist but they opened with Lotion, played almost everything from around the fur and surprisingly only a few tracks from white pony which was their current album at the time. Bored, root and engine no. 9 were also in the set. Deftones Aug 03, 2025

Tim 81 Loved this show. Got there early to see Karnivool after a recommendation and they didn’t disappoint. Don’t remember the setlist but do remember call to arms being the highlight from the new album and was pumped to hear about 5 Sepultura classics including refuse/resist, arise, roots and propaganda.  Tunes69 I won a contest from a local radio station - KSHE95. My friend Tim and I met the band before the concert. We also got to sit in on the sound check for the Empire Tour. It was amazing hearing them without an audience. Queensrÿche / Suicidal Tendencies Aug 03, 2025
concertcolly Rob Halford of Judas Priest filled in for a Ozzy Osbourne during Black Sabbath's set due to Ozzy coming down with bronchitis. Ozzfest 2004 Aug 03, 2025
