 Rojah The set list was pretty close to the picture. Tahoe Gal was moved from the first set closer to the second set opener, East on 8 wasn't played, and I Got Loaded was moved to the third song of the encore.  Steven Laird At this show I saw David Crosby & his wife Jan standing off to the side before the show looking over the crowd. I had brought his first book he authored. I was the only one to see them at first and I went over there and had them both sign the book and I had David sign a baseball. Others in the crowd started to approach once they saw me talking with them. David noticed this also and said "oops, I gotta go", before the other concert goers got to him. Jan and i continued talking. She then asked me if I would like for her to take the baseball and have Graham Nash and Stephen Stills sign it. Of course , OI saoid yes!  stephenhuerta July 2025: The year was 1969, and it was the most anticipated Rolling Stones concert tour at the time. It was the tour that featured Mick Taylor for the first time, after the death of Brian Jones. First and foremost, I’m a big Mick Taylor fan, I’m so glad I saw this Stones tour. Trust me, in 1969, this was a big deal, everyone was hungry and ready for The Rolling Stones. The first show at the LA Forum sold out immediately, prompting the promoters to add a second show, which also sold (only LA could achieve such a feat). In my opinion, the Stones were at their prime in 1969. What people don’t realize is, that with Mick Taylor, the Stones finally got a “real” guitar player. I’m not the only one who thinks that, it’s been written about many times. Some say that Mick Taylor saved The Stones, and made a huge presence, I agree. Fuckin’ Mick Taylor, I love that guy. As far as the opening acts are concerned, The Ike @ Tina Turner Review were hot, BB King was good, but Ike & Tina had the energy, especially Tina, of course. I’m sorry to say that I don’t recall much about Terry Reid’s performance, it wasn’t bad, but it was a typical first opening act. I’ve read many excellent things about Terry Teid, so I’m glad I saw him with the Stones. In 1969, I was barely in high school, living in Torrance, Ca. Those were the Good Old Days. At that particular Rolling Stones concert, it was my brother Al, and our good friend Robert Kido and myself who were there that evening. The Rolling Stones / B.B.  VigorousJammer My very first punk show. Went here at the age of 24 with my buddies Matt & Tiffany. I remember having a blast and experiencing my very first mosh pit as well. I also remember all the bands sounding great! After the show, we ended up going to a Five Guys down the road to chow down on some late-night burgers and fries. My buddy Matt commented saying he didn't realize punk shows like this existed anymore. Neither did I, but I was definitely glad! And I still am! Punk will never die!  danthoney I was at this show. The next day was my first day in basic training. The USAF sent me to Dallas meps to swear in. They booked me at the Greenleaf Hotel.. I was up in my room, looking out the window and saw a limousine pull in to the drop off area. Curious I went downstairs and Ronnie James Dio was in the lobby signing albums for people. Once he left the concierge asked me if I wanted to see the concert I said heck yes I was a big fan so he gave me tickets because he couldn’t attend. As I was waiting for a taxi he called for me one of the sound technicians for the band came downstairs late. They got a van ready for him to go to the arena and asked me if I wanted to go along. Of course, I said yes, and before I knew it, we were going underground at the reunion arena backstage. He got me in because I was with him, but once I was there, I had no credentials. I jumped on the first elevator I saw and headed up to watch the show in the nosebleed seats never using my tickets.  VigorousJammer Lots of great metal bands at this show. The way it was set up was kind of weird, since you had to pick and choose which bands you wanted to see. Nebula, Atomic Bitchwax, Howling Giant, and Lake Lake were on the stage upstairs, while Acid Witch, Self Inflicted, Avowal, and Trephine were on the second stage in the basement. The sets absolutely overlapped, and so I missed out on seeing some of the bands. Still, the bands I did see were all great! First band I saw was Lake Lake upstairs. they provided some solid metal tunes. I then moved to the basement for Avowal, their music just dripping with gloom and dread, and their lead female vocalist was growling like an absolute beast! Went back upstairs to hear Howling Giant, whose drummer was absolutely nailing it! They were really good, and had a pretty unique sound for a metal band. After that, it was back to the basement to see Trephine, who just about blew the crowd's eardrums out with quite possibly the most brutal metal set I've seen. Lastly, I went back upstairs to see Atomic Bitchwax, who had such a cool classic hard rock vibe to them. Gave me some Deep Purple vibes. Fifth Anniversary Party Jul 06, 2025
