 G.G.Allin1776 Worked load-in/load-out on this, got some sun poisoning & here I thought Gretchen was staring at my sweaty manliness. Maybe both😅 Either way they treated us like gold with the rider (served in the Patriots dining hall) 24hrs a day anything from steak & lobster to sushi & breakfast (of massive proportions). They kept retail store sized coolers full of every type of Gatorade/ Powerade/ brand of water you can imagine stocked all over the field as we worked, even Pedialyte.  G.G.Allin1776 That show was a trip. If I could do it over again, acid would be involved but it wouldn't be in Massachusetts. As soon as we crossed the state line, mass statie pulls us over "for an illegal exhaust" (it wasn't), pulls his gun on me & out the window I go by my hair. Boycott Mass.  G.G.Allin1776 First Metallica show, wasn't bad especially considering the album for which they were touring. Not being familiar with their dumb stunts, 15 year old me was pretty freaked out when the lighting began "collapsing" & santa fell from the rafters, a rope around his ankle. Don't recall how long he was swinging there, however that bs took up at least 30 mins. Corrosion of Conformity fn kicked a** as usual. James came out for Wiseblood. Almost went backstage as a classmate, Steph, her father was the promoter & invited me back. To my utter shock, the two idiots I was with said no "We have a curfew". That chic was cute too, wtf. Could've partied with her, Metallica & C.O.C., but noooo. Last time I let some knuckleheads stop me from heading backstage, including security. My mom had to get the tickets for me at Filene's in the old Naugatuck Valley Mall, lucky I got tix because they were gone in 3 minutes. Some sort of record was set with how fast they disappeared. Imagine only paying $30 to see those clowns today, more like 20x that price for the okay seats I had. Metallica Sep 05, 2024
