 mammabroon Don't think i've EVER been to a gig where the band wait and try and meet as many fans as possible. Absolutely AMAZING and the gig was phenomenal.  NellaPop Eminem headlined this unique hip-hop crossover event titled "Life," held at the Better Living Centre (CNE grounds) during Toronto's historic electronic warehouse rave era. This performance took place exactly one month before the release of The Marshall Mathers LP (May 23, 2000), serving as a rare bridge between his two major album eras.Notably, this show featured one of the earliest live debuts of his iconic horror-core stage persona. He shocked the crowd of roughly 8,000 ravers by walking out wearing denim overalls and a white Jason Voorhees hockey mask while wielding and revving a live chainsaw. His set was heavily supported on stage by a blow-up doll routine (acting as "Kim").The lineup for the night uniquely fused hip-hop with the underground electronic scene, featuring Toronto's Ghetto Concept and Jellystone alongside international drum & bass legend DJ Randall and local turntablists like DJ Dopey.  [email protected] The concert was amazing. I was a busboy at Remington's, the restaurant inside of the Hilton at Poplar and I-25. (Now the Ramkota hotel) I bought a tshirt at the concert. I had it on several months later when I went in to get my check. Our GM hollated at me, so I went to see what he wanted. Don Jackson told me that if I ever wore that shirt in his motel again, I'd be fired. Several months later, I forgot. Jackson saw me and said "What'd I tell you about wearing that shirt in my motel?"  John Breakwell Hello, It is with great regret we have to tell you that we will not be able to perform at Sub89 in Reading on the 26th of this month, The Georgian Theatre in Stockton-On-Tees on the 27th or Liverpool's Rock and Roll Marathon on the 28th as our treasured bass player, Mark McCarthy, has been involved in a rather nasty road accident, suffering multiple injuries. Although he is expected to make a full recovery he will not be able to perform for at least six weeks. Currently Mark is in hospital in south London, recovering well and looking forward to getting back on his feet. We are however able to reschedule the Reading show to the 16th of July and the Stockton-on-Tees show to the 26th of August and can only apologise to the good people of Liverpool who were taking part, and spectating, in the Rock and Roll Marathon for our absence.  [email protected] This concert will always stand out to me. Dale Collins was my neighbor, and he worked at Two Rivers. He got me the ticket to go. Sadly, Dale was killed on the bridge over the River. He stopped to help someone. Someone hit their car, and it pinned Dale in between the two vehicles. I was about 10.
